I could not speak more highly of this gorgeous house! You can feel completely in a secluded area on one hand and then within 10 minutes you can be at Cabarita Beach or Murwillumbah. It was very tastefully decorated, it did not lack anything! From the linen to the finishes in the house, to the beds and every small detail, it was absolute luxury for a farm house experience. Only one very small thing.. there are wasp nests everywhere outside so just be careful - but if you leave them alone, they leave you alone. And it is a farm stay and you are in their natural element so I was just mindful not to disturb them. Spacious house, well decorated, with lots of open space. Good size backyard with the pool for some playtime, bbq, well equipped kitchen and big bathrooms. Tammy's place is a heaven for a relaxing time with family and friends in a nice suburban area yet close to grocery shop and cafe and only a few minutes walk to the beach. The master bedroom is huge and the other ones are good size too with double beds (softish mattresses). Everything was very clean when we arrived. The house was clean and tidy and the location fantastic. It comfortably slept our large group and the open plan layout and outdoor area were great for socialising. The bunk bed room was fairly close quarters for four people and bags, so our only suggestion for the host would be to move these beds into one of the bigger bedrooms. We found the house to be much more spacious and stylish than the photos look! We were pleasantly surprised by how huge the kitchen, living areas and bedrooms were. The house has beautiful high ceilings and has various areas for entertaining. We stayed here with 10 friends and cooked most meals ourselves. It is a very quiet, calm and relaxing space. The owner came around to help us out with the fridge (at our request) and pulled another fridge out of the garage for us to use, gave us an extra push bike and when we asked if he had a beach umbrella we could use he went out of his way to bring us one we could use for the three days of our stay. The kitchen is very large and well equipped with everything we needed . Whilst there were no children with us - it is well equipped with child safe cups, plates and cutlery (as well as a child sand pit and cubby house outside). Overall we were very happy with our stay. The house is large and open - a great communal space. Morning coffee with the early risers on the back patio watching the sun coming up was just magic. The everything worked and the house was stocked with the essentials. The back yard was nice and grassy and the kids enjoyed the play equipment a lot. We were surprised by how few bitey insects there were. Only one or two mosquitos spotted during the whole stay and no sand flies to be seen. We were slightly disappointed that the creek entrance visible in photos ended up being inaccessible due to waist-deep, smelly mangrove mud, but there is a much nicer sandy creek entrance about 100m down the path behind the house. It was a fantastic little spot for a lazy afternoon swim or a spot of fishing (we failed to catch anything but we saw others reel a couple in). Black Rock Beach is only a 15-minute walk down the path and across the bridge, maybe 10 if you’re quick. It’s a huge beach with good surf and nice sand, and you’ll find very few people there. A very short drive on the beach road north to the headland will take you to a lovely sheltered swimming area at the creek’s mouth. Great for the smaller kids to have a splash and a swim. Until June 2014, we had our property managed by Colliers International. At that time, we switched to Tweed Coast Holidays. Since then we have been extremely happy, not only with our relationship with Tammy and Jason, but with the improved returns they have generated for us. With Colliers, over the period between January 2012 and June 2014, our unit was available for holiday letting 550 days and it generated $16,650 in returns for us, averaging about $30 per available day. Since then, with Tweed Coast Holidays, it has been available 355 days and has generated $19,930 in returns for an average of $56 per available day. This is an 85% improvement. For an apples-to-apples comparison, Colliers’ best effort over any twelve consecutive months was $7,683 while TCH’s best of $14,786 was an improvement of 92%. Tammy and Jason are very personable and easy to get along with. As an investment I purchased on the beautiful Tweed Coast approximately 5 years ago. I decided to place it on the rental market and after some research appointed Jason Walk and Tammy Williams from Tweed Coast Holidays to manage my investment. FINALLY! my apartment is being managed the way it deserves and should be. I am an original owner at Cotton Beach in Casuarina which spans many years and at no time have I been satisfied with house cleaning services hired by previous property managers - even the employees of the management companies were frustrated with the sub-standard performance and presentation at inflated prices which exacerbated the professionalism in this regard. I knew immediately upon entering my apartment that things were very different. Long story short, this luxury apartment was presented by Tammy and Jason’s company in the same manner one would find in a 5 star hotel - what a relief to know, finally, I have found managers who truly know and perform their business to a highly professional standard.
